i did this little piece for the pure fun of it! i had this beautiful iridescent pyrite sun that i wanted to do something with, and got the idea... inspired by marian shapiro's jellyfish piece.. to use it for the body of a jellyfish.

i tried to pull out some of the colors of the pyrite piece with some mosaic gold in acid green, violet, copper and gold. I just used what smalti i already had for the wavy water.

for the background, i wanted to work freely without any pattern and just play with the different shades of blue and aqua smalti.
