smalti, vitreous, and dichroic glass, on cement board

on this piece, i wanted to play with the changing colors of the dichroic glass (in the center) as the viewing perspective changed.

when looking at the piece head-on, the dichroic glass shows very yellow and orange. the vertical orange and yellow stripes echo this coloring.

when looking at it from any other direction, such as from the side, the yellow shows as bluegreen, and the horizontal blue and green smalti emphasize these colors. you can see a side perspective in the alternate view.
